US giant Google plans to build an airport in Silicon Valley on a plot of NASA.
This is the largest investment made by the firm for this year 2014.
According to several sources, the US giant is through this investment, improving its services and research.
In fact, Google uses many flying machines to include drones, helicopters, private jets. These devices take off and land on Moffett civil and military airport that made Google does not yet have its own airport at him. And this is the first reason for starting this project.
To do it, Google signed an agreement with NASA, contract duration will therefore 60 years. This contract is on land owned by the US government agency that Google intends to lease to build the airport.
The Mountain View giant will lease the land measuring 11.7 hectares, where 380 people are already employed in an amount of 82 million dollars.
In addition, and in order to alleviate the financial terms of the agreement, Google uses Planteray Venture LLC, an agency specializing in real estate transactions.
This partner Google will invest $ 1.16 billion, and part to lower government costs $ 6.3 million per year.
The airport will be located just meters from the Google headquarters in Mountain View. It therefore represents a great opportunity for the leaders of the firm.
The airport will also be open to any company wishing to use it, but obviously against a certain sum of money, not yet revealed.
